About Me

I am an Art Director/Designer born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been creating art of various formats since I was a youngster. I like to get my hands on just about everything and I’m always ready to learn. When not cooking up pixel concoctions, I spend my free time exploring the great outdoors, making music, and enjoying the company of friends and family. My all time favorite movie is the goonies and biggest well known musical influence has to be the beastie boys. I am influenced by modern art with a mix of street flavors. Tesla Model S

After leading the design of their online reservation page, which helped the company deliver more than 500 Roadsters to customers in the United States and Europe, Tesla Motors needed a microsite for their newest creation the Model S. The objective was to show case the beauty and features of the automobile while keeping the site simple and affordable to the client. As the Art Director for Level Studios I was responsible for the UI, complete look and feel of the page, and making sure we met all of the clients requests.

Motorola

As the lead designer at Level studios for Motorola’s developer network, I was able to get my hands on everything from microsites, promo banners, to Icons. I was responsible for the creation and maintenance for a large majority of Motorola’s “Motodev” assets and the samples presented are only a small fraction of the work completed.

ESPN

ESPN Zone wanted to update their web presence to convey a look and feel similar to a high end club. Offering more then food and beverages, the goal was to present a venue that housed endless possibilities for entertainment. Working directly with the ECD at Level Studios we developed a UI that could present an abundance of information in a scalable organized format. After leading the design into its polished state, we were left with a happy client, and awarded “Best in Class” by the Interactive Media Awards.

Namco Bandai

A break from the corporate design Namco Bandai’s Splatter house was a good oppurtunity to let loose and get gory. The clients goal was to create the look and feel of a horror film and bring the games suspenseful characteristics to the internet. Leading the design for the Level team a seamless horizontal execution with a gritty interface placed the user directly in the scene and acheived the goals requested by the Namco Bandai team.

Aptina

In 2008, the world’s largest DRAM manufacturer spun off their imaging devision to form the now independent Aptina Imaging Corporation. In the role of Senior Designer at LEVEL Studios I lead the design of the new corporation’s Web properties. Aptina’s creative objectives included presenting a modern and non-traditional website. Inspired by the core of Aptina – CMOS Image Sensors – I chose to create a highly photographic experience with dark settings and lighting effects.
